The U14 Girls Blue team completed a 12-0 undefeated season to win their GYSA Division this Spring.  The girls are coached by Jesus Ramos.  Congratulations!

U12 Boys Academy Win GYSA Academy Cup

The U12 Boys Academy went undefeated and won their division of the GYSA Academy Cup.  The Boys began with a 0-0 tie with Macon United and a 2-0 win over RSC Real Madrid.  On Sunday the boys continued their dominace with a 4-0 win over Cobb Y Strikers and a 3-0 victory in the championship game over CGSA Strikers.

U12 Girls Win St. Patricks Day Cup

The Arsenal U12 Girls Academy won the St. Patrick's Day Cup held in Columbia, SC.  The girls beat DSC Lady Green 2-0 and SCUSC Black  7-0 on Saturday.  Sunday's first game was a win against WCWAA Silver 3-0 and then a victiry over SGCSA Hurricanes in the final 2-1.

The U10 Boys had a great weekend in Atlanta, winning the GSA Invitational Tournament while going undefeated.  The team scored 23 goals during the tournament with wins over DSC Inter Milan, Atlanta Spurs, SSA Central Premier and a 5-1 championship win over SSA Chelsea Blue.

Arsenal '96 Girls Undefeated at College Showcase

The U17 girls completed their season against teams from Florida, Indiana and Kentucky while particiapting in the adidas Womens College Showcase in Atlanta.  The girls defeated Storm '96 (KY), tied Celtic FC (FL) and defeated United (IN) in front of dozens of college coaches.

Arsenal '02 Boys Win adidas Savannah Cup

The U11 Boys continued their winning ways in Savannah by captuing the tournament championship.  The boys went 3-0-1 with with wins over SSC 01 Blue 3-0, a tie with SCFC Celtic Green 2-2 and a win over DISA United 4-0.  The championship game was played against the hosts, SSA Coastal Blue, where the boys prevailed 5-4.

Arsenal '02 Boys Finalist in Mt. Pleasant

The U11 Boys went 2-1-1 at the South Carolina United/Mt. Pleasant Boys Select Tournament.  The boys beat SCU/MP Galaxy 3-0, tied CASA Orange 3-3, and beat Summerville Blue 3-0.  The boys lost a tough 2-0 decision in the championship game.

Arsenal '01 Boys and '96 Girls Finalists at Atlanta Cup

The U12 Boys went undefeated in three straight games with wins over CCSA Red (4-0), Strikers Y Elite (2-1) and SSA Central Gold (5-1).  The boys lost a hard fought final 2-1 to DSC White.  The U17 Girls continued their strong season start with their second tournament final in a row.  The girls defeated SSA Chelsea Central Elite, CFC Redstar and tied SCUFC Palmetto.  A 1-0 win over AFC Lightning Elite in the semi-final put the girls in the championship where they dropped a tough game to Alpharetta Ambush.

Arsenal '02 Boys and '96 Girls Finalists in Asheville

The U11 Boys went 2-2 on the weekend with wins over SGCSA Flames Red and Crush Hotspurs and a loss to CSA Predator Select before losing to CSA Predator Elite in the Riverside Final.  The U17 Girls had a similar weekend with wins over Charlotte Soccer Acadmey Copa and HFC Red before tying AFC Lightning Elite and then losing to the same team, 1-0 in the tournament championship game.

Arsenal '98 Boys Finalist in Athens

The U15 Boys Gold had a successful weekend playing in the Athens United Invitational. The Gunners made it to the finals of their division by winning 5-0 and 9-0 on Saturday. A tie in the Sunday morning game kept them undefeated before losing in a penalty kick shootout for the championship.

ARSENAL SELECTED TO NATIONAL PREMIER LEAGUE

US Club Soccer has announced the creation of the South Atlantic Premier League as the newest addition to the organization’s National Premier Leagues (NPL).

The NPL has been created to provide a unified, league-based national developmental platform with the highest level of competition in given geographic areas, and to elevate and change the competitive youth soccer landscape based upon fundamental principles outlined in US Club Soccer’s 10-year vision.

Set to kick off in fall 2012 with U-13 and U-14 boys and girls divisions, the South Atlantic Premier League will include six member clubs:• Atlanta Fire United (Ga.)
• Augusta Arsenal (Ga.)
• Charlotte United (N.C.)
• FC Alliance (Tenn.)
• Roanoke Stars (Va.)
• Triangle United (N.C.)

Arsenal '99 Boys Win Seaside Classic in NC

The U13 boys were Gold Division Champion at the Seaside Soccer Classic hosted by Cape Fear Soccer CLub in Wilmington, NC.  The boys when undefeated in group play with wins over Cape Fear White 3-1, Triangle United Juniors 4-2, and FCCA 5-2.  The boys defeated the Huntersville Highlanders 3-1 for the tournament title.

Arsenal U13 Girls Win Tournament Title in Virginia

The Augusta Arsenal U-13 Girls soccer team is a tournament champion. The team recently traveled to Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Virginia for the National Bank Summer Kick-Off Tournament and won. In the tournament they were undefeated, only allowing one goal in all their games. The scores were: 4-0, 2-0 ,4-0 and 7-1.

Arsenal Shootout Friendlies

Twenty-five academy age teams (U9-U12) will be playing Saturday April 28 at the Augusta Soccer Park. The teams will play throughout the day with games beginning at 8 am and ending with 3:30 pm contests. Highland FC (Asheville, NC) Savannah/Hilton Head Island Soccer Academy, Statesboro Strikers, GASC Bulls and South Carolina United will all have teams represented in additon to the Arsenal Academy teams. Brusters Ice Cream and Chik-Fil-A will be on site throughout the day to provide food and refreshments.

ARSENAL ACADEMY TEAMS WIN SCU ST. PATRICKS DAY CUP



The U10 Boys Academy played up an age group at the South Carolina United St Patricks Day Cup and won their division with a 2-1 final game victory over the hosts SCUFC 00 Bronze.  The boys went undefeated on the weekend with victories over SCUFC 00 Navy 2-0, 01 Falcons 3-1 and a 3-3 tie with SCU Mt Pleasant.  The U10 Girls Academy had an oustanding weekend as well by winning their division in a 1-0 final victory over Charlotte United Speed.  The girls defeated Palmetto United Maroon 7-1, SCUFC 01 Black 6-2 and tied SCU Mt Pleasant Athletica to earn their spot in the championship game.  The U11 Girls Academy also had a great weekend but came up short in the final losing a tough 1-0 match to SCU Mt Pleasant 00 Breakers.

Arsenal Girls Garner Hardware From CGSA Girls Rocks Tournament 

All three Arsenal teams that competed at the CGSA Girls Rock Tournament in Savannah came away with trophies.  The U11 Girls Academy and the '96 Girls Gold both won their respective divisions and the '97 Girls Gold were Finalists.  The U11 Girls went undefeated with wins over Strikers Blue East, First Coast Academy White, Tohat 19 Blue and Strikers Green East.  The '96 Girls also went undefeated with wins over Lady Rapids '96 (TN), SC United Crescent, Chattanooga United and CGSA Strikers.  The '97 Girls went 2-1-1 on the weekend with victories over Concorde Fire Black and Atlanta Fire United '97.
