'98 Arsenal Gold Boys Win Concorde Cup

The U13 Boys won their division of the 2011 Concorde Cup with a 3-0 victory over TSC in the championship game. The boys dropped theor tournament opener to CESA (SC) but recovered with three straight wins including the final, 4-3 over Stealth and 3-0 over NASA.

'96 Arsenal Gold Boys Place at Disney Showcase

The U15 Boys Gold went 2-1-1 at the Disney Showcase to claim third place in one of the most prestigious tournaments in the country. The boys defeated Javanon Black (KY) 1-0, lost to TUSC Blitz United (OK) 4-1 and tied the Dallas Texans 2-2 in order to advance to the third place game. The Arsenal defeated Beach FC Red (VA) 4-3 to claim the third place medals.

U11 Girls Undefeated at GSA Academy Cup

The '01 Arsenal Girls won all four games at the GSA Academy Cup to claim the tournament championship. The girls defeated Concorde Fire North Black 2-0, BWSC Classic 5-0, GSA Phoenix Black 6-0 and Concorde Fire North White 1-0.

U14 Girls Win James Island Cup

The '97 Arsenal Girls won their division of the James Island Cup in South Carolina. The team went undefeated on their way to the final with wins over MPSC Aftershock 4-0 and CASC Palmetto 5-0. A 0-0 draw with the host put the girls in the championship where they faced James Island again. The girls beat JIYSC 2-1 for the title.

U9 Boys and U12 Boys Win South Carolina United Select Shootout

The '02 Arsenal Boys and '99 Arsenal Boys Blue won the South Carolina Select Shootout in Mt. Pleasant. The '02 boys avenged an early loss with CUFC with a 4-1 victory in the final. The boys also defeated JIYSC 4-0 and SCUMP 5-3. The '99 Boys went undefeated throughout the event with a 1-1 tie against Summerville and wins over Florence 2-1, CUFC 2-0 and Summerville 4-2.

U12 GIRLS WIN SCU Mt Pleasant Select Shootout

The '99 Arsenal Girls won the South Carolina Select Shootout in Mt. Pleasant. The team went
3-0-1 on the weekend with wins over SCUMP Galaxy 1-0, GUFC White 4-3, WCWAA Black 2-1 and a tie with FVAA Red 1-1.

U18 GIRLS GOLD WIN NASA CLASSIC

The '93 Arsenal Girls Gold won the gold bracket of the NASA Classic in Atlanta. In four games the girls scored 19 goals and allowed 2. The girls defeated Cobb Strikers Red, VHSC Attack Black, NASA Elite and Roswell Santos.

'97 BOYS GOLD WIN CHARLOTTE INVITATIONAL

The U14 Boys Gold won the championship of the Charlotte Invitational in an exciting penalty kick shootout. The boys defeated the hosts Charlotte Soccer Academy Mundial 2-0, Lake Norman SC 4-1 and WCWAA 4-0 on their way to the finals.

ARSENAL PLAYERS STAY BUSY THROUGHOUT THE SUMMER

Although the summer is an offseason for soccer, that has not stopped many Arsenal players from continuing their development.  Summer camps at the Arsenal as well as various colleges have pushed many players to the next level of their development.  Many players have participated in regional 3v3 tournaments, Olympic Development Program training and games or just worked on their own with a ball at their feet.  Staying fit, having fun, improving skills and being evaluated by college coaches are all great reasons that Arsenal players have kept busy the summer.

'92 PREMIER PLAYER PLAYS FOR NPSL TITLE

Hunter Norton of the Arsenal '92 Boys Premier Team is enjoying his first season playing for FC Sonic Lehigh Valley of the National Premier Soccer League.  FC Sonic won the Keystone Conference in the Northeast Region, defeated New York Red Bulls U23s and will play in the NPSL Final Four.  Norton scored a goal and recorded two assists in a 6-0 win over FC Reading Revolution on June 29.  Additional Information: http://www.fcsonic.org/

ARSENAL '00 GIRLS AND BOYS WIN ASA XTREME CUP CHAMPIONSHIPS

The U10 Girls and U10 Boys Pools all won championships in Atlanta at the ASA Xtreme Cup.  The '00 Girls went undefeated with wins over Cherokee Impact, 6-0; Roswell Santos Red, 2-1; and Tophat 18 White, 1-0.  The girls defeated Roswell 1-0 in the championship.  The '00 Boys Blue won the 8v8 Gold Division with a 3-1 victory in the final over Nashville Metros.  The boys had defeated the Metros earlier 4-1 and had wins against Norcross Gold, 9-1 and Cherokee Impact, 5-0.  The '00 Boys Green beat NGSA Rapids, 4-1 and Concorde Fire Central White 3-2 and lost to ASA Xtreme Black 3-4.  The boys avenged their opening round loss to ASA with a 3-0 win in the championship game of the 6v6 Gold Division.

ARSENAL U10 GREEN BOYS WIN ATLANTA FIRE UNITED CLASSIC

The Augusta Arsenal Green U10 boys went undefeated in winning their division of the AFU Fire United Classic in Atlanta.  The boys defeated AFU Bronze 3-1, GSA '00 Lazio 4-1 and Concorde Fire Central Silver 3-2 in round robin play.  The boys beat AFU Bronze a second time, 4-3, in the championship.

ARSENAL '99 GIRLS WIN JULIAN BROWN MEMORIAL TOURNAMENT

The U11 Girls won the Premier Division of the Julian Brown memorial Tournament held in Charlotte, NC.  The girls tied Bull City 1-1 before defeating Twin City '98 Blue 4-0 and Greenboro Twisters '98 White 5-0.  In the final the Arsenal defeated SC Bulls '98 4-2.

AUGUSTA ARSENAL'S PHILLIP TRAN TRAINING WITH WEST HAM UNITED

Phillip Tran of the Augusta Arsenal '96 Gold Team is training with West Ham United Youth  Academy over the next couple of weeks. This will be Phillips second time being invited over for Englich Premier League's Youth Program after being spotted at one of the club's ID camps.  Phillip did extremely well last year during his initial visit and was the only American Player selected to play in the game against Crystal Palace.

ARSENAL '00 GIRLS FINALISTS AT PIGGLY WIGGLY
        

The U10 Arsenal Girls finished a successful weekend in Charleston, SC at the Piggly Wiggly Tournament.  The girls defeated Charlotte United, 2-1, and Lexington United '99 White, 1-0, before falling in the championship game to Columbia United '99 Red 2-4.

ARSENAL '96 BOYS GOLD FINALISTS AT RED DIAMOND VULCAN CUP

The U14 Boys had another exciting weekend competing in the Red Diamond Vulcan Cup in Birmingham, AL.  The boys dropped their first contest 1-0 to HFC Blue (AL) before winning their next two games, 2-1 over Cajun Fury (LA) and 1-0 over GCUFC Blue (MS).  The boys came up short in the championship game losing 4-2 to the Steamers Black (AL).

ARSENAL '96 GOLD BOYS WIN CONCORDE FIRE CHALLENGE CUP

The U14 '96 Gold boys won the Concorde Fire Challenge Cup without allowing a goal all weekend.  The Arsenal played in the Premier Division and beat CFC East Gold 1-0, East Ridge Express 4-0 and tied MPSC Elite tie 0-0.  In the final The Arsenal defeated DSC 95 Green 2-0.

ARSENAL '96 BLUE BOYS  AND '99 BOYS WIN RYSA SPRING KICKOFF CLASSIC

The U14 Boys Blue Team won the RYSA Spring Kickoff Classic this past weekend.  They beat BlueSpring Liberty Burn Red 1-0, 96 Cannons 2-0, InterAtlanta Blue 5-0 and defeated Trussville Fire 4-1 to win the championship.  The U11 ('99) Arsenal Boys won the Championship Division title while going undefeated and unscored upon throughout the tournament.

U14 AND U10 BOYS CHAMPIONS AT CGSA "BOYS RULE" TOURNAMENT


The Arsenal U14 Boys Gold were Champions at the Boys Rule Tournament in Savannah. They were undefeated and only allowed one goal the entire tournament. The U10 Arsenal Boys were also undefeated and were champions of the U10 division. They only allowed three goals the entire tournament.

U13 GIRLS FINALISTS AT CGSA "GIRLS ROCK" TOURNAMENT


The U13 Arsenal Girls were Finalists in the Elite Flight of the Girls Rock Tournament hosted by Coastal Georgia Soccer Association.  The girls beat Charlotte Soccer Academy Samba 2-1 and CGSA Shockers 1-0 before falling to Creek's Clash in the Final.
